Michael Jordan is a retired American basketball player, active businessman and majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. He is almost universally considered the greatest basketball player of all time and one of the best American athletes in history. Throughout his career, he has won six NBA championships (earning the MVP for all six finals), five NBA MVP awards and 14 inclusions in the All-Star games; leading the Chicago Red Bulls during their best historic period. He also won two Olympic gold medals, in 1984 and 1992.
A native New Yorker, he moved to North Carolina when he was three. At high school he played baseball, basketball and football, although he was at first rejected for the varsity basketball team for being too short. He attended the University of North Carolina before being drafted as number three pick by the Bulls in 1984. In his first season he was selected Rookie of the Year and included in the All-Star starting team. In 1988 he won his first season MVP, after consistently leading the league in scoring. The Bulls won the NBA finals in three consecutive years, from 1991 to 1993, earning them their first “three-peat.” Jordan was the MVP in for each win. He was part of the 1992 Dream Team that won the Summer Olympics. In 1993 he abruptly announced his retirement to pursue a baseball career. A year and a half later, however, he was back on the basketball court.

From 1995 to 1998, Jordan won another three consecutive finals with the Chicago Bulls. After achieving this unprecedented feat, he announced his second retirement. However, he returned to the courts in 2001, this time as a player for the Washington Wizards (switching from his usual shooting guard to a small forward position). He made his third and final retirement in 2003. After retiring, he went on to purchase the majority of shares of the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010.
Magic Johnson said of him, “there's Michael Jordan and then there's the rest of us.” He definitely is the best-known figure in basketball of all time, and as such, has had a heavy involvement in many marketing campaigns for different brand names.

    Memorable quotes:
I've reached the pinnacle of my career. I just feel that I don't have anything else to prove.
    I'm back.
I've missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games.
26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed.
I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
There will be a player greater than me.
Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.
Enjoy every minute of life. Never second-guess life.

Kobe Bryant is an American professional basketball player for Los Angeles Lakers. Throughout his carreer, he has played 13 times in the All-Star Game, winning four All-Star MVP Awards; knows what it feels like to be NBA champion five times, has been NBA Finals' MVP twice, has won an Olympic Gold Medal, was Slam Dunk Champion in 1997 and NBA MVP in 2008. He is widely considered one of the best, and most complete, players in the NBA.
Kobe grew up in Italy, as his father played in the Italian basketball league. When he retired, the Bryant family moved back to the US, and Kobe enrolled at Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania. At school, he jump-started a spectacular varsity career, at the end of which he was considered by most analysts as the top high school player in the country. He decided to declare directly for the 1996 Draft, where he was picked 17th overall by the Charlotte Hornets. He immediately got traded to the Lakers, the team that has been his home for 15 years.
After two unremarkable seasons, in 1998 Bryant began to emerge as one of the league's best guards. Playing alongside Shaquille O'Neal, in 1999 the arrival of legendary coach Phil Jackson transformed the Lakers into a realistic championship contender. The team went on to win three consecutive finals (a "three-peat"), with Bryant and O'Neal rising to the elite class of NBA players. Playoff dissapointments followed until 2008, where the Lakers achieved their first of two consecutive championship wins (repeat). Bryant also played for the USA national team, winning a gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics against Spain, and stating his willingness to participate in the 2012 London Olympic Games.

“Solo quiero ganar”.

player who played his entire 18-year National Basketball Association (NBA) career with the Indiana Pacers. Miller was known for his precision three-point shooting, especially in pressure situations and most notably against the New York Knicks, for which he earned the nickname "Knick Killer".[1][2][3] When he retired, he held the record for most career 3-point field goals made. He is currently second on the list behind Ray Allen. A five-time All-Star selection, Miller led the league in free throw accuracy five times and won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics.

The Pacers retired his No. 31 in 2006, and he was named to their 40th anniversary team in 2007.[4] Currently, he works as an NBA commentator for TNT. On September 7, 2012, Miller was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.[5]
