Pattinson began modelling at the age of twelve. He later worked in various amateur theatre productions. He found an agent and began seeking professional roles. He had a supporting role in “Vanity Fair” (2004), but his scenes were cut from the screen version. In 2005, he gained a lot of attention for his role as Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” He was named that year's “British Star of Tomorrow” by a British daily newspaper.
Pattinson shot to superstardom with his role as Edward Cullen in “Twilight” (2008), “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” (2009) and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” (2010). He also had starring roles in “Little Ashes” (2008), in which he portrayed surrealist Spanish artist Salvador Dalí. He produced and starred in the romantic drama “Remember Me” (2010) and starred in “Water for Elephants” (2011) opposite Reese Witherspoon and Christopher Waltz. He can also be seen in the final films in the Twilight series, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” (2011, 2012)
Pattinson has been named amongst People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive lists and their World's Most Beautiful People lists. However, he is not just another pretty face. Forbes magazine named him the 50th most powerful celebrity of 2010. In addition to his acting skills, Pattinson also plays piano and guitar. He can be seen playing piano in “Twilight” and he also sang two songs for the film's soundtrack.

    Memorable quotes:
I don't know if I could ever really be cast in a heartthrob role apart from 'Twilight,' which I didn't really know was a heartthrob role. I really don't feel I am one.
